CALDWELL REFUTES PULLIN'S ALLEGATIONS

FORMER  STATE  REPRESENTATIVE  JOHNNIE  CALDWELL  HAS  TAKEN  ISSUE  WITH  A  FACEBOOK  POST  BY   STATE   HOUSE  DISTRICT  131 MEMBER KEN  PULLIN OF  PIKE COUNTY. PULLIN POSTED  THAT CALDWELL AND SPEAKER OF  THE  HOUSE  DAVID  RALSTON  PLANNED  TO  RUN  A  CANDIDATE  AGAINST  HIM  IN  THE  MAY  PRIMARY--SOMETHING CALDWELL  DENIED  IN  A  STATEMENT   TO   101  NEWS.

PULLIN  ANNOUNCED LAST  WEEK  HE  WOULD  NOT  SEEK RE-ELECTION.

CALDWELL ALSO  SAID  HE   HAD NOTHING  TO  DO  WITH  AN  INVITE  RESOLUTION  THAT  WAS  CANCELLED  ON  THE  HOUSE  FLOOR  TO  RECOGNIZE  THE  THOMASTON-UPSON TEAM  OF HEART  AND  SOUL,  MONDAY.  UPSON'S  STATE  SENATOR  JOHN KENNEDY HELD  THE  CEREMONY ON  THE  SENATE  FLOOR AND IN  HIS  STATEMENT  CALDWELL THANKED HIM  FOR  THAT  EFFORT.

PIKE COUNTY  BOARD OF  EDUCATION  MEMBER  BETH  CAMP   QUALIFIED MONDAY  AND  THOMASTON  BUSINESSMAN  KENNY  COGGINS  SAID  HE  PLANS  TO  QUALIFY  THURSDAY AT  THE  STATE  CAPITAL.
