A HOUSE ON 74 EAST IN UPSON COUNTY JUST EAST OF TRINITY ROAD WAS PICKED-UP BY MONDAY'S STORM AND MOVED ABOUT 60 YARDS TO BLOCK 74 AND THE HOUSE LARGELY REMAINED INTACT.
DEBRA DANIEL TOLD CHANNEL 2 ACTION NEWS IT WAS THEIR RENTAL HOUSE BUILT IN 1950. SHE DESCRIBED THE SOUND OF THE STORM SOMETHING LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN. NO ONE WAS AT HOME AT THE TIME, 101 NEWS WAS TOLD THEY HAD LEFT THE HOUSE BECAUSE THEY WERE ALERTED, A STORM WAS COMING.
GA DOT ENGINEERED REMOVAL OF THE HOUSE AND WE OBSERVED ROCK HILL FIRE DEPARTMENT WASHING DOWN THE ROAD AFTER IT WAS REMOVED,ONE LANE OF 74 WAS TO OPEN AFTER IT WAS REMOVED.
