IN THE RACE FOR STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 131 BETH CAMP LEADS KENNY COGGINS 51% TO 49% A CAMP LEAD OF 285 VOTES BUT SOME BALLOTS IN LAMAR COUNTY MUST BE COUNTED THIS AFTERNOON STARTING AT 2;30 FOR THE RETURNS TO BE CERTIFIED BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE'S OFFICE. THOSE BALLOTS DO NOT INVOLVE THE CAMP-COGGINS RACE ACCORDING TO BETH CAMP WHO SPOKE TO 101 NEWS ABOUT AN HOUR AGO. MS. CAMP SAID SHE WAS IN LAMAR COUNTY UNTIL 2;30 THIS MORNING AND THOSE OUTSTANDING BALLOTS WERE FROM MARCH AND ARE TORN OR MIS-MARKED.
HERE'S THE UNOFFICIAL TOTALS FOR THAT HOUSE RACE--IN LAMAR COUNTY CAMP 681 COGGINS 391, IN PIKE COUNTY CAMP 3166 COGGINS 1373. IN UPSON COUNTY COGGINS 3305 CAMP 1507.
