TRAFFIC WAS SNARLED IN DOWNTOWN THOMASTON FRIDAY AROUND 2 PM AND AT LEAST TWO PERSONS TRANSPORTED TO THE E.R. BY EMS AFTER A TWO VEHICLE COLLISION ON THE SQUARE, AT THE CHURCH/GORDON STREET INTERSECTION.
AN OLDER MODEL HONDA GOT THE WORST OF THE CRASH AFTER APPARENTLY BEING T-BONED BY AN OLDER MODEL FORD PICK-UP WHEN SOMEONE RAN THE RED LIGHT. THE DRIVER OF THE HONDA AND A PASSENGER WERE TRANSPORTED, THE PASSENGER FITTED WITH A NECK BRACE BEFORE PLACED IN THE AMBULANCE. THE PICK-UP DRIVER DID NOT APPEAR TO BE INJURED.
THE TRUCK REMAINED AT THE INTERSECTION BUT THE HONDA CAME TO REST PARTIALLY ON THE SIDEWALK AFTER STRIKING A LIGHT POLE IN FRONT OF ENGLISH'S CAFE.
