Glascock county was the last county in Georgia to report a case since the Georgia Department of Health began tracking the spread of the virus. The first case in the county also resulted in the first death reported.
Glascock county lies in east central Georgia just south of Interstate 20, between Milledgeville and Augusta. The county seat is Gibson and the county is the fourth least populated with 3,025 residents.
