ACCORDING TO SCHOOL SUPERINTENDANT DR. JUTE WILSON LAMAR COUNTY SCHOOLS WERE CLOSING DOWN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH JAN. 19TH DUE TO COVID-19 AND THE INCREASE IN QUARANTINES IN THE DISTRICT.
ALL LAMAR COUNTY STUDENTS WILL SWITCH TO REMOTE LEARNING AND WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO RETURN TUESDAY, JAN. 19TH. STAFF WILL REPORT FOR NORMAL WORK HOURS AND PROVIDE REMOTE INSTRUCTION EACH DAY.
5-DAY MEAL BOXES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP MONDAY, JAN. 11TH--YOU MUST SIGN UP BY FRIDAY AT NOON.
IN HIS STATEMENT DR. WILSON MENTIONED A SHORTAGE OF BUS DRIVERS.
