NEW ORDER ISSUED IN JUDGE CRAWFORD CASE

VIRGIL BROWN—ATTORNEY FOR SUSPENDED SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE ROBERT MACK CRAWFORD TOLD ZOOM NEWS ON FRIDAY A RESTRAINING ORDER WAS ISSUED AGAINST THE STATE JUDICIAL QUALIFICATIONS COMMISSION— IN COBB COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT.

ACCORDING TO ATTORNEY BROWN-- THAT ORDER WILL POSTPONE THE CONTINUED ETHICS HEARING SET FOR MARCH 22ND UNTIL A COBB COUNTY JUDGE RULES ON A MOTION THAT MEMBERS OF THE J.Q.C. ARE IMPROPERLY APPOINTED --- INCLUDING THE PANEL HEARING THE CASE.

THAT MOTION COULD BE HEARD IN LATE MARCH— IN COBB COUNTY , THE LAWYER TOLD US.

ONE OF THREE ALLEGATIONS FILED BY J.Q.C. AGAINST JUDGE CRAWFORD HAS BEEN DISMISSED AFTER A HEARING FEB. 25TH. PIKE COUNTY CLERK OF COURT CAROLYN WILLIAMS TESTIFED SHE WAS NOT ORDERED OR PRESSURED BY JUDGE CRAWFORD TO PAY HIM $15,000 FROM THE COURT REGISTRY—SO THAT CHARGE WAS DISMISSED. ITS MONEY THE JUDGE CLAIMS HE WAS OWED FROM A REAL ESTATE CASE WHEN HE WAS PRACTICING LAW.
