OF GRIFFIN AND SPALDING COUNTY BOARDS OF COMMISSIONERS HELD
A JOINT MEETING, TUESDAY AND ONE ITEM ON THE AGENDA WAS
DISCUSSION OF SERVICE DELIVERY STRATEGY—HOWEVER GRIFFIN CITY
MANAGER KENNY SMITH SAID BOTH GOVERNMENTS HAVE MUCH WORK TO
DO BEFORE PROCEEDING.
CITY
MANAGER SMITH SAID MANY JOINT AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE TWO
GOVERNMENTS HAVE EXPIRED AND ARE OUT-OF-DATE—SOMETHING HE
CALLED A HUGE MESS.
SMITH
SAID IT COULD TAKE 9 MONTHS TO A YEAR FOR BOTH STAFFS
TO POUR OVER THE DOCUMENTS AND DECIDE WHERE THEY STAND.
EVEN THE LEASES ON BALL FIELDS HAVE EXPIRED HE TOLD THE
BOARDS.
THE
TWO BODIES PLAN TO MEET AGAIN IN OCTOBER TO GET A
PROGRESS REPORT.
