UPDATE; HOMECOMING VANDALISM

THOMASTON POLICE CHIEF MIKE RICHARDSON TOLD 101 NEWS WEDNESDAY—HIS OFFICERS DID SOME HEAVY PATROLING TUESDAY NIGHT—AFTER MONDAY REPORTS OF PAINT BALL GUN VANDALISM LINKED TO THIS WEEK'S HOMECOMING AT UPSON LEE HIGH. HE SAID THEY WILL KEEP VILIGENT WATCH OVER THE CITY DURING THE REST OF THE WEEK.

THE CHIEF HAS CALLED ON PARENTS TO OBSERVE STUDENTS ACTIVITIES CLOSELY TO CURB FURTHER INCIDENTS.

UPSON SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING CRIMINAL DAMAGE AT THE LINCOLN PARK FIRE STATION OVERNIGHT MONDAY.

SOMEONE SPRAY PAINTED OVER THE WINDOWS OF A FIRE TRUCK PARKED ON THE NORTHSIDE OF THE BUILDING AND SPRAY PAINTED TWO OBSCENE MESSAGES ON THE REAR OF THE BUILDING.

SHERIFF DAN KILGORE SAID ITS UNDER INVESTIGATION BUT ITS UNCLEAR IF ITS RELATED TO HOMECOMING VANDALISM.


TWO CARS MARKED-UP WITH PAINT WHILE PARKED AT UL HIGH SCHOOL HAD TO GO TO THE BODY SHOP, ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF. SOME TYPE OF MARKER PAINT WAS USED TO ENSCRIBE VULGAR IMAGES AND WORDAGE ON SEVERAL VEHICLES. DEPUTIES ARE FOLLOWING-UP ON THOSE INCIDENTS, THE SHERIFF ADDED.
