COUNTY
MANAGER JASON TINSLEY TOLD THE UPSON COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS AT TUESDAY'S MEETING, THE 19 NORTH WIDENING
PROJECT IS NOW DELAYED BECAUSE OF COUNTY WATER LINES
UNDER THE ROADWAY—AND ISOLATING THEM WOULD STOP SERVICE TO
BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS. IT COULD COST UP TO
$1.4 MILLION FOR RELOCATION BUT HE SAYS THE COUNTY DOES NOT
HAVE THE MONEY.
HE
SAID GA DOT HAS SENT PLANS TO STATE ENGINEERS TO BE
REDRAWN AND POSSIBLY MOVING THE LINES TO THE NEW RIGHT OF
WAY.
