HOPE BLACKSTOCK'S TRIP TO NORMANDY

THE PRESLEY BROTHERS OF LIFSEY SPRINGS IN PIKE COUNTY, EMMETT, HERBERT AND NOLAN WERE AMONG THE INVASION FORCES ON D-DAY 75 YEARS AGO.

FIRST LT. HERBERT PRESLEY WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO LAND ON OMAHA BEACH AND WAS KILLED ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF ST. LO.

HE WAS BURIED AT NORMANDY BUT LATER MOVED TO SOUTHVIEW CEMETERY IN THOMASTON.

THOMASTONIAN THOMAS BENJAMIN TRICE WAS KILLED A MONTH AFTER D-DAY AND IS BURIED AT NORMANDY.

HOPE AND SCOTT BLACKSTOCK VISITED NORMANDY LAST MONTH ON A TOUR OF WORLD WAR I BATTLEFIELDS AND THE NORMANDY BEACHES WITH RUSS HEAD OF THE TRAVEL CONNECTION.
