BILL—A PROPOSAL SIMILAR TO WHAT GOVERNOR BRIAN KEMP HAS
SAID HE WOULD SIGN INTO LAW.
SENATOR
HARBIN SAID SENATE BILL 221 WOULD REQUIRE THE GOVERNMENT
TO HAVE A COMPELLING INTEREST BEFORE IT COULD INTERFERE WITH
SOMEONE'S RELIGIOUS PRACTICES.
OPPONENTS
OF THE MEASURE INCLUDING BUSINESS BOOSTERS AND GAY
RIGHTS GROUPS—SAY IT COULD BE USED TO DISCRIMINATE.
