DEFENDANT SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS ON METH CHARGES

IN UPSON SUPERIOR COURT TUESDAY--- JUDGE FLETCHER SAMS SENTENCED REGINALD BLACKMON, AGE 45 TO 40 YEARS IN PRISON AND A $200,000 FINE FOR TRAFFICING METH AND POSSESSION MARIJUANA WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. HE HAD DONE TIME BEFORE FOR MARIJUANA.

ACCORDING TO PROSECUTOR MICHAEL ROGERS---THE JURY STAYED OUT ABOUT 45 MINUTES.


OPENING STATEMENTS IN COURT LATE TUESDAY FOR THE ARMED ROBBERY TRIAL OF DEMARCUS GRIGGS CHARGED WITH A STICK-UP AT THE MINI MARKET ON BETHEL STREET.
