THE
GRIFFIN-SPALDING COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE VOTED
UNANIMOUSLY TO RECOMMEND A T-SPLOST REFERENDUM ON THE
NOVEMBER BALLOT AT ITS MARCH MEETING.
UP
TO ONE CENT FOR FIVE YEARS WITH PROJECTS TO BE IDENTIFIED
BY THE CITY AND COUNTY WITH COMMUNITY INPUT.
THE
COMMITTEE WAS TOLD IT COULD YIELD OVER $40 MILLION
DOLLARS—WITH A COUPLE OF POSSIBLE PROJECTS MENTIONED—MOVING
GA. HIGHWAY 155 OUT OF DOWNTOWN GRIFFIN AND A
JENKINSBURG ROAD INTERCHANGE ON 1-75.
THE
SPALDING COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL DISCUSS THE
T-SPLOST RECOMMENDATION AT MONDAY'S 6PM MEETING.
