OF COMMISSIONERS DECIDED TO HOLD A TRANSPORATION SPLOST IN
NOVEMBER OF 2019 AND A COMMITTEE WILL BE FORMED TO
DECIDE PRIORITIES FOR PROJECTS AND TO PROMOTE THE VOTE.
THE
BOARD HEARD THREE SUGGESTIONS FOR THE SITE OF A NEW $4.6
MILLION IN-DOOR AQUATIC CENTER TO BE BUILT WITH SPLOST FUNDS
—THE LAKES AT GREEN VALLEY INDUSTRIAL PARK, THE FORMER
DUNDEE MILLS SITE ACROSS FROM UGA GRIFFIN AND THE CITY
PARK.
IT
WOULD BE 8 LANES WITH PROFESSIONAL DIVING BOARDS.
THE
BOARD INSTRUCTED COUNTY MANAGER WILLIAM WILSON TO SECURE
PROPOSALS AND DRAWINGS FOR THE AQUATIC CENTER BY A
RETREAT IN LATE JANUARY 2019.
