1;30PM TUESDAY THOMASTON FIRE DEPARTMENT DISPATCHED TO A
FIRE IN AN OLD 1888 MILLS BUILDING TARGETED FOR
DEMOLITION .
FIRE
CHIEF RENEE HARRIS SAID SOME TILES AND OTHER DEBRIS IN A
CORNER OF THE BUILDING CAUGHT FIRE—CAUSE UNKNOWN. NO CREWS
WERE WORKING IN THE BUILDING BUT SOMEONE SUGGESTED PERHAPS A
HOMELESS MAN SEEN IN THE AREA COULD BE RESPONSIBLE. NO
DAMAGE TO SPEAK-OF BUT THE CHIEF TOLD US UNITS STAYED ON
THE SCENE FOR ABOUT THREE HOURS.
