APPEARS THE THOMASTON CITY COUNCIL WILL FOLLOW THE LEAD OF
THE UPSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND NOT RAISE TAXES.
CITY
MANAGER RUSSELL THOMPSON TOLD ZOOM NEWS THURSDAY HE IS
RUNNING A LEGAL AD SETTING THE 2017 MILLAGE RATE AT THE
ROLL-BACK RATE OF 3.77 MILLS.
COUNCIL
WILL TAKE FORMAL ACTION ON THE MILLAGE RATE NEXT MONTH.
MANAGER
THOMPSON SAID THE COUNCIL WILL NOT HAVE A QUORUM —FOR
NEXT TUESDAY'S MEETING—SO ITS BEING MOVED TO THURSDAY,
AUGUST 3RD AT 7PM.
