BOMB THREAT AT WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME --BARNESVILLE

CITY OF BARNESVILLE POLICE CHIEF CRAIG COOPER SAID BOMB-SNIFFING DOGS FROM BIBB S.O. CHECKED OUT WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME ON ROSE AVE. — AND FOUND NOTHING--AFTER A BOMB THREAT WAS FAXED TO THE MORTUARY AROUND 10AM WEDNESDAY. EVERYONE WAS EVACUATED FROM THE AREA.

CHIEF COOPER SAID THE WRITTEN DOCUMENT DEMANDED A RANSOM OF $25,000 OR A BOMB WOULD IGNITE --- WITH AN ACCOUNT NUMBER IN BRAZIL IN SOUTH AMERICA POSTED TO SEND THE MONEY.

THE BIBB COUNTY COURTHOUSE RECEIVED THE SAME TYPE OF FAXED BOMB THREAT LAST WEEK—CHIEF COOPER TOLD ZOOM NEWS—IT APPEARS TO BE A NATION-WIDE SCARE —AND THE FBI IS BEING CALLED-IN TO INVESTIGATE.
