THOMASTON’S POLICE CHIEF DAN GREATHOUSE SAID AN ELDERLY LADY WAS MUGGED AT THE GOVERNMENT COMPLEX FRIDAY. THE LADY NEAR 90 YEARS OF AGE, WAS PUSHED DOWN AND WAS INJURED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE E.R. BY UPSON EMS. ACCORDING TO THE CHIEF, SHE HAD GONE TO CITY HALL TO PAY A UTILITY BILL AND SOMEWHERE NEAR THE ANNEX BUILDING, SOMEONE JUMPED HER FROM BEHIND , GRABBED HER POCKETBOOK AND FLED.
