AT WEDNESDAY’S MEETING, PIKE COUNTY’S COUNTY MANAGER BILL SAWYER REPORTED ON FINANCES.
$36,000 IN THE GENERAL FUND, $20,000 IN THE RESERVE FUND.
SAWYER TOLD 101 NEWS HE EXERCISED $300,000 OF AN $800,000 LINE OF CREDI A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO FOR COUNTY OPERATIONS. A LINE OF CREDIT FROM A TAX ANTICIPATION NOTE.
THE COUNTY MANAGER SAID THE PIKE IDA IS COURTING A NEW BUSINESS PROSPECT THAT IS EXPECTED TO REVISIT THE COUNTY.
THE COMMISSIONERS APPOINTED ROBERT MARRIOTT TO THE BOARD OF TAX ASSESSORS, REPLACING CAROL BASS WHO RESIGNED TO RUN FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER.
