THE PAST PRESIDENT OF THE STATE BAR OF GEORGIA HAS AGREED TO CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION TO DETERMINE WHETHER ANY CRIMINAL CASES WERE COMPROMISED BY AN AFFAIR BETWEEN SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE PASCAL ENGLISH AND A PUBLIC DEFENDER, KIM CORNWELL, ASSIGNED TO HIS COURTROOM.
ATLANTA ATTORNEY BRYAN CAVAN WILL REVIEW AS MANY AS 450 CASES IN QUESTION, ACCORDING TO MACK CRAWFORD, DIRECTOR OF THE PUBLIC DEFENDER COUNCIL, AND A NEWLY-APPOINTED SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE IN THE GRIFFIN JUDICIAL CIRCUIT. JUDGE ENGLISH AND MS. CORNWELL RESIGNED AFTER THE ALLEGATIONS.
