UPSON COUNTY COMMISSION CHAIRMAN MAURICE RAINES SAID REMARKS HE MADE ABOUT JOINT PROJECTS AT TUESDAY’S MEETING WERE MISUNDERSTOOD.
THE CHAIRMAN HAS CALLED FOR A JOINT MEETING OF THE COMMISSIONERS AND THOMASTON MAYOR AND COUNCIL TO MAKE A FINAL DECISION ABOUT HOW JOINT PROJECTS ARE HANDLED.
RAINES TOLD 101 NEWS THURSDAY, HE WANTS THE TWO BODIES TO COME TOGETHER AND RESOLVE THE ISSUES IN A SPIRIT OF COOPERATION. HE ADDED, HE’S SPOKE WITH MAYOR HAYS ARNOLD RECENTLY REGARDING JOINT PROJECTS AND THEY WANT TO MOVE FOWARD TOGETHER.
