Governor Sonny Perdue has appointed two new superior court judges in the Griffin Judicial Circuit.
Pike County attorney Mack Crawford and Fayette County state court judge Fletcher Sams
The two judgeships have been vacant since the resignations of Judge Pascal English and Judge Johnnie Caldwell.
Crawford, a former state legislator heads the state's public defender system.
Judge Sams is a former district attorney in the Griffin Circuit.
It's unclear when the new judges will be sworn-in.
