The Thomaston-Upson County School Board voted 5-2 at last nights meeting to rescind the mask mandate for all students.
The school system will continue to follow CDC guidelines and will reassess the potential need for wearing mask in the next 30 days.
Six parents were in attendance at the meeting, four wanted the mandate lifted while two asked to keep it in place.
