Gunshot Victim In Griffin Dies

The Griffin Police Department regrets announcing that the four-year-old child injured by a gunshot last week has died. The child passed away at 7:06 pm last night. 

Additionally, the charges on both individuals arrested last week have been upgraded. James Lee Evans, age 20, of Griffin, Ga. and Jamacia Lyons, age 24, of McDonough, Ga, are now charged with 2nd Degree Homicide. 

This case is still active and ongoing, and further information may be released when appropriate.
