THOMASTON POLICE CHIEF DAN GREATHOUSE SAID A FEMALE CAB DRIVER WAS SHOT AND KILLED EARLY WEDNESDAY. THE CAB CAME TO REST AT 7-11 GROCERY ON BARNESVILLE STREET, AFTER HITTING A FENCE. THE CHIEF SAID THE P.D. RECEIVED A CALL THAT A CAB DRIVER HAD BEEN SHOT ON AVE. N. AND THEN FOUND THE CITY CAB AT THE CONVIENCE STORE.
THE WHITE FEMALE VICTIM WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE E.R. BY UPSON EMS WHERE SHE LATER DIED. THOMASTON POLICE DEPARTMENT, GBI CRIME SCENE AND AGENTS FROM REGION 2 ARE INVESTIGATING THE CASE, THE CHIEF SAID IN A PRESS RELEASE.
