THE THOMASTON-UPSON INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HAD A CALLED MEETING, THURSDAY AND APPROVED A RESOLUTION AND INDUCEMENT LETTER FOR AN $800,000 EXPANSION FOR CRITERION TECHNOLOGY ON 36 EAST.
AS PART OF THE AGREEMENT THE COMPANY PLEDGES TO ADD 15 NEW JOBS IN THE NEXT 8 YEARS. COMPANY PRESIDENT CHRIS MULVEY THANKED THE IDA AND SAID 5 NEW JOBS HAVE BEEN ADDED RECENTLY.
MULVEY SAID THE VALUE OF THE DOLLAR ON WORLD MARKETS HAS HELPED DRIVE SALES IN EUROPE AND SOUTH AMERICA AND HE IS BUYING NEW EQUIPMENT AND LEASING ADDITIONAL WAREHOUSE SPACE.
IDA CHAIRMAN NEIL HIGHTOWER CALLED IT A RED LETTER DAY FOR THE COMMUNITY.
