MALCOLM NEAL HAS ANNOUNCED HE HAS SOLD THE RITZ THEATER TO GRIFFIN BUSINESSMAN WOODY HEATH AND HEATH WILL TAKE OVER AUGUST 3RD. HEATH, WHO OWNS NUMEROUS CLASSIC CARS HAS ALSO BOUGHT THE BUILDING NEXT TO THE RITZ WHERE HE REPORTEDLY PLANS A CAR MUSEUM ON THE GROUND FLOOR AND A RESTAURANT ON THE 2ND FLOOR WITH LIVING QUARTERS.
MALCOLM TOLD 101 NEWS, HEATH HAS ALSO PURCHASED THE OLD DEPOT ON NORTH CENTER STREET , THE UPSON ALLIANCE WAREHOUSE BUILDING ON HIGHTOWER STREET, AND THREE STOREFRONTS ON NORTH GREEN STREET, ONE WHERE THE TRAVEL CONNECTION WAS ONCE LOCATED.
HEATH HAS TOLD ASSOCIATES HE CONSIDERS THOMASTON A HIDDEN GEM AND HE LOOKS FOWARD TO RELOCATING TO THE COMMUNITY.
SINCE NO NEW MOVIES ARE BEING MADE , THE RITZ THEATER HAS BEEN SHOWING CLASSIC FILMS ON THE WEEKEND AND THIS FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY THREE MADEA MOVIES FROM TYLER PERRY WILL BE FEATURED, ONE EACH NIGHT AT 7;30.
