On July 15th the state of Georgia has recorded a 57.25% increase in the number of positive COVID-19 test since June 30th.
A total of 46,543 new cases out of 321,105 test, a positive rate of 14.49%, the June positive rate was 9.29%. Testing has increased 38.51%.
The total number of positive cases was 81,291 on the last day of June.
The state is on track to have more confirmed cases in July than was recorded in March, April, May and June combined. There has only been one day this month when the number of new confirmed cases was below the 2,000 threshold.
Locally, Upson county has 38 new cases this month, a 10.7% increase while Pike county recorded 34 new cases, a 37.78% increase.
Spalding county has the highest number of new cases in the four county area with 201, a 50.25% increase. Lamar county has 39 new cases, a 33.91% increase.
