DURING A HEARING MONDAY IN UPSON SUPERIOR COURT, CHIEF JUDGE CHRIS EDWARDS SET THE TRIAL DATE FOR UPSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER SANDRA TRICE AND CO-DEFENDANT DEBRA JONES PARKS, SECRETARY OF TRICE FUNERAL HOME.
THE TWO WERE INDICTED BY THE NOVEMBER UPSON COUNTY GRAND JURY FOR THE SALE OF PRE-NEED BURIAL CONTRACTS.
SEVERAL QUESTIONS WERE RAISED ABOUT BOTH HAVING THE SAME ATTORNEY, WILLIAM MURRAY OF AMERICUS , BUT WHEN ASKED BY JUDGE EDWARDS , TRICE AND PARKS SAID THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH DUAL LEGAL REPRESENTATION.
