AUGUST 31, 2011.
THE REPORT CONTAINS STATEMENTS FROM LAWRENCE MINTER WHO TOLD POLICE THE DOG ATTACKED HIM NEAR THE COOK’S PARKING LOT AROUND 1AM, JAN. 8, PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT WITH THE P.D. OFFICER. MINTER SAID HE HAD TO REMOVE HIS COAT TO USE IN HIS DEFENSE SO THE DOG WOULD NOT BITE HIM.
LT. PAUL WALKER SAID THE DOG WAS BARKING AND ADVANCING AFTER HE YELLED TO THE DOG OWNER TO GET CONTROL OF THE ANIMAL, SO HE SHOT THE DOG IN THE SHOULDER.
