UPSON COUNTY BOC IS RECEIVING PUBLIC COMMENTS

AT THE JULY 21ST MEETING THE THOMASTON CITY COUNCIL PASSED ON RESUMING PUBLIC COMMENT AT MEETINGS AND IN A PRESS RELEASE DECLINED TO PLACE A DISCUSSION OF HERITAGE ISSUES RELATING TO THE NAME OF RE LEE ON THE CITY - COUNTY GOVERNMENT COMPLEX BUILDING AND CONFEDERATE ARTIFACTS IN THE BUILDING ON THE NEXT AGENDA.

HOWEVER, THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS ARE CO-OWNED BY UPSON COUNTY GOVERNMENT AND COMMISSION CHAIRMAN NORMAN ALLEN TOLD US THE COMMISSIONERS CONTINUE TO ENTERTAIN PUBLIC COMMENTS AT THEIR MEETINGS ON YOUTUBE. ANYONE WISHING TO MAKE COMMENTS SHOULD E-MAIL THEM TO COUNTY CLERK JESSICA JONES BEFORE 5 PM MONDAY TO  jjones@upsoncountyga.org.

 E-MAIL COMMENTS WILL BE READ AT THE MEETING BY THE CHAIRMAN.
