SPALDING CO. DEPUTY/UPSON MOTORIST IN PIKE WRECK

DEPUTY MATHEW EVERETTE IS  RECOVERING  FROM  SERIOUS  INJURIES  AT GRADY  MEMORIAL  HOSPITAL  AFTER  A  WRECK  INVOLVING  A  THOMASTON  MOTORIST  TUESDAY  MORNING ON U.S. 19  IN  PIKE  COUNTY.

  THE  SHERIFF  SAID--EVERETT SUFFERED A  FRACTURED  VERTEBRAE  WITHOUT  PARALYSIS,  A  BROKEN LEG  AND   30  STITCHES   FOR    GASH  IN  HIS  FOREHEAD  WHEN  A  PICK-UP  DRIVEN  BY  JOHN  DESNOYER OF  UPSON  COUNTY  HYDROPLANED OUT OF  CONTROL  AND  INTO  EVERETTE'S  LANE.  DESNOYER  WAS  BOOKED  FOR  TOO  FAST FOR  CONDITIONS  AND  FAILURE TO MAINTAIN LANE.

DEPUTY  EVERETTE'S  WIFE  CHRISTY  TOLD  SHERIFF  DIX  SHE  APPRECIATES ALL  THE  CONCERN AND  ASKED  FOR  CONTINUED PRAYERS  FOR  MATHEW AND  HIS FAMILY.
