THE THOMASTON-UPSON BOARD OF EDUCATION PASSED A RESOLUTION-TUESDAY-- FOR A CONTINUATION OF THE CURRENT E-SPLOST , A MARCH ELECTION TO FUND ATHLETIC FACILITIES AND SCHOOL SAFETY. THE SCHOOL BOARD WILL ASK THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS TO CALL FOR A REFERENDUM MARCH 23RD, 2023 FOR UP TO $28 MILLION WITH UP TO $25 MILLION TO BE BONDED SO THE BOARD CAN PROCEED WITH PROJECTS WITHOUT WAITING ON THE MONEY TO BEGIN. AMONG THE PROJECTS, A NEW TRACK FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL AND UPGRADES TO MATTEWS FIELD AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR SCHOOL BUILDINGS.
