THE THOMASTON FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO THE RESIDENCE OF RETIRED BANKER BOB COCHRAN AT 706 GREENWOOD ROAD EARLY MONDAY AFTERNOON BUT A FIRE QUICKLY SPREAD AND DESTROYED THE HOUSE AND TWO VEHICLES IN THE CARPORT. CAPTAIN LEE BROWN SAID MR. COCHRAN AND HIS DAUGHTER SUSAN WERE IN THE HOME AND HEARD A POP IN THE CARPORT AREA BUT MANAGED TO ESCAPE THE FLAMES.
