Thomaston Fire Department In New Building

THE CITY OF THOMASTON FIRE DEPARTMENT IS BEING DISPATCHED FROM THE NEW FIRE HOUSE ON NORTH CHURCH STREET AS OF WEDNESDAY.

FIRE CHIEF RENEE HARRIS SAYS A RIBBON CUTTING WILL BE SCHEDULED IN APRIL JUST AFTER THE DECOMMISSIONING OF THE OLD FIRE HOUSE WHEN THE AMERICAN FLAG IS TAKEN DOWN. THE CHIEF TOLD 101 NEWS PLANS ARE TO HAVE FORMER MEMBERS OF THE DEPARTMENT TO RIDE FIRE ENGINES TO THE RIBBON CUTTING AFTER THE DECOMMISSIONING CEMEMONY.

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE EMERGENCY TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT WILL ACTIVATE WHEN UNITS LEAVE THE NEW STATION.

TRAFFIC IN BOTH DIRECTIONS ON NORTH CHURCH ARE REQUIRED TO STOP
