Blown Transformer Causes Power Outage

A transformer on West Gordon Street caught fire Saturday evening around 6:00 pm causing a power outage in a portion of downtown Thomaston. City electrical crews were able to pull another line across West Gordon and get power restored.

The Thomaston Fire Department sent two trucks to the scene and Thomaston PD blocked the street while the crews worked.
