Upson Has Second Highest COVID Infection Rate

Upson county has the 2nd highest infection rate in the state as of January 12th. The new cases per 100,000 population is 1,261. There were 332 new cases reported, an 11% increase over last week. 45.6% of the population is fully vaccinated, 11.3% less than the state average.

Spalding county is 8th, Butts is 9th, Lamar is 11th, Taylor is 22nd, Meriwether 23rd and Pike is 36th out of 159 counties.
