GUNSHOT VICTIM IN GRIFFIN

The Griffin Police Department issued a press release on December 31, 2021, concerning a shooting in the 400 block of North 9th Street. 

The victim, Paris Thompson, age 28, was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Investigators worked tirelessly to determine the cause and manner of death. They were able to locate the vehicle, additional evidence, and witnesses. Based on all these factors and the autopsy results, there is indisputable evidence to determine that Thompson died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound
