EX-DIRECTOR OF UPSON AMBULANCE SERVICE ENTERS GUILTY PLEA FOR THEFT BY CONVERSION

FRIDAY  IN  UPSON  SUPERIOR  COURT,  RICHARD EDWARD  LEE  WAS  SENTENCED  TO 10  YEARS  PROBATION,  A  FINE  OF   $1000,  80  HOURS  OF  COMMUNITY  SERVICE, MUST MAKE  RESTITUTION  OF   $18,540,  AND  SERVE  60  TO  120  DAYS  IN  A  PROBATION  DETENTION  CENTER,  AFTER  HE  RECEIVES  MEDICAL  CLEARANCE.

ACCORDING  TO  COURT  RECORDS,  WHILE  DIRECTOR  OF  THE  AMBULANCE  SERVICE, FROM  NOVEMBER  2008  TO  NOVEMBER  OF 2013, LEE  TOOK U.S. CURRENCY,  CLOTHING,  MEDICAL  EQUIPMENT  AND  FUEL  THAT  WAS  THE  PROPERTY  OF  UPSON  AMBULANCE  SERVICE.
