ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE THOMASTON-UPSON COUNTY SCHOOLS, UL HIGH HAD SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN ALL THREE PORTIONS OF THE TEST—CRITICAL READING, MATH, AND WRITING.
SCORES INCREASED 16 POINTS IN CRITICAL READING, 14 POINTS IN MATH, AND 8 POINTS IN WRITING.
147 STUDENTS TOOK THE SAT AND POSTED A COMPOSITE AVERAGE OF 1339, UP 38 POINTS FROM 2013 SCORES.
SUPERINTENDANT DR. MAGGIE SHOOK SAID A INCREASE IN SAT SCORES OF 38 POINTS IS NOTEWORTHY BUT THE SCHOOL SYSTEM IS STILL CONCERNED ITS BELOW STATE AVERAGE.
