GRIFFIN POLICE HAVE ARRESTED A SUSPECT ON 16 COUNTS OF AGGREVATED ANIMAL CRUELTY AFTER ANIMAL CONTROL RESPONDED TO POSSIBLE DOG FIGHT IN THE 100 BLOCK OF SUMMIT DRIVE AND FOUND 16 DOGS IN SMALL CAGES IN THEIR OWN WASTE. THE OCCUPANT, CHRISTOPHER CROMARTE HAD REFUSED TO LET OFFICERS ENTER THE RESIDENCE SO A SEARCH WARRANT WAS ISSUED.
THE DOGS HAVE BEEN PLACED IN SHELTERS AND THE HOUSE COULD BE CONDEMNED BASED ON ITS CONDITION.
