THE UPSON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS GOT A QUOTE FROM PARRISH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ON REBUILDING THE LINCOLN PARK COMMUNITY CENTER/WORTHY GYM AFTER EXTENSIVE VANDALISM, BUT IT WAS WAY OVER THEIR BUDGET. PARRISH ESTIMATED THE COST AT $826,000 AND AT WEDNESDAY'S WORK SESSION, CHAIRMAN NORMAN ALLEN SAID THE COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO DO IT. ONE OPTION IS LEASING USED MOBILE CLASSROOMS FROM PARRISH, SOMETHING THAT COULD COST $100,000 TOTAL. A CDBG GRANT FOR $750,000 IS ANOTHER OPTION, BUT THAT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL YEARS TO PROCESS
