BARNESVILLE POLICE CHIEF CRAIG COOPER SAYS A MURDER WARRANT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR 38-YEAR OLD TAUREAN COLLER OF BARNESVILLE FOR THE SHOOTING DEATH OF A HAMPTON FEMALE, 27 YEAR OLD SHANIQUA PENN AT 210 JACKSON STREET--EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.
CHIEF COOPER SAYS INVESTIGATORS HAVE HEARD SEVERAL COMFLICTING STORIES ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED, BUT MS. PENN WAS APPARENTLY VISITING THE HOUSEHOLD WITH ANOTHER PERSON WHEN THE SHOOTING OCCURRED. WHEN PD UNITS ARRIVED THEY FOUND AN UNRESPONSIVE FEMALE ON THE GROUND AND ADMINISTERED CPR UNTIL EMS ARRIVED BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REVIVE HER. COLLIER TURNED HIMSELF IN LATER AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. OTHER CHARGES COULD FOLLOW--THE CHIEF TOLD 101 NEWS.
