A TORNADO OVER UPSON CO. SUNDAY ?

ACCORDING TO UPSON COUNTY EMA DIRECTOR MARTHA ANNE MCCARTY A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN THE AREA OF SPREWELL BLUFF SUNDAY BUT NO TOUCHDOWN CONFIRMED. UPSON, PIKE, AND LAMAR COUNTIES WERE UNDER A TORNADO WARNING FOR A TIME SUNDAY MORNING, AND IN LAMAR COUNTY TREES REPORTED DOWN ON INDUSTRIAL DRIVE, WELDON LAKE ROAD AND MCNEELY ROAD AND POWER OUTAGES REPORTED BY SOUTHERN RIVERS ENERGY IN THE AREA OF HIGH FALLS PARK ROAD AFFECTING OVER 1000 CUSTOMERS. SOME TREES DOWN IN BUTTS COUNTY.

ATLANTA TV REPORTED A TORNADO TOUCHDOWN ON TOM MCKINLEY ROAD IN UPSON COUNTY BUT EMA DIRECTOR MCCARTY TOLD ZOOM NEWS, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DID NOT RECORD THAT ACTIVITY.
