2ND SURGERY FOR SPALDING DEPUTY TAYLOR

SPALDING COUNTY DEPUTY JOHN TAYLOR, AGE 22 HAS UNDERGONE HIS 2ND SURGERY AT A MACON HOSPITAL FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT SATURDAY ON HANNAH'S MILL ROAD IN UPSON COUNTY WHILE HE WAS OFF DUTY IN HIS PERSONAL VEHICLE.

TAYLOR EXPERIENCED FRACTURES AND IS BANGED-UP BUT IS ALERT AND RECOVERING . A PASSING MOTORIST, MAURICE MURPHY AND ANOTHER DRIVER—STOPPED TO ASSIST AND COULD HAVE SAVED HIS LIFE—REMOVING HIM FROM THE CAR THAT WAS CATCHING FIRE.

HIS MOTHER'S COMPANY IS FLYING HER IN FROM BOSTON SO SHE CAN BE WITH HIM IN THE HOSPITAL. TAYLOR—A RECENT GRADUATE OF THE POLICE ACADEMY SAID ANOTHER CAR CROSSED THE CENTER LINE CAUSING HIM TO WRECK.


POST 26 GA. STATE PATROL—THOMASTON INVESTIGATING THE ACCIDENT.
