THREE FINALISTS NAMED FOR THOMASTON CITY MANAGER

FOLLOWING AN HOUR AND A HALF EXECUTIVE SESSION –TUESDAY—THE THOMASTON MAYOR AND COUNCIL EXITED AND RELEASED THE NAMES OF THE THREE FINALISTS FOR CITY MANAGER.

JUSTIN JOHNSON—CITY MANAGER OF BISBY , ARIZONA, AT ONE TIME ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER OF MCDONOUGH—WHO SERVED UNDER THOMASTON'S INTERIM MANAGER BILLY BECKETT.

JOSEPH MOSLEY—FORMER CITY MANAGER OF METTER, GA.

AND RUSSELL THOMPSON—CURRENT CITY MANAGER OF SUMMERVILLE, GA.

BY STATE LAW, COUNCIL MUST WAIT 14 DAYS BEFORE HIRING ONE OF THE THREE AND HAVE HIM ON THE JOB.


MANAGER BECKETT SAID HE WILL PROBABLY HIRE A HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER BY THE END OF THE WEEK.
