UPSON COUNTY SHERIFF DAN KILGORE TELLS 101 NEWS AN UNIDENTIFIED WHITE FEMALE IN HER 50'S WAS LIFE-FLIGHTED TO THE BURN UNIT AT GRADY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN ATLANTA AFTER A TRAILER HOME FIRE ON GOODEN ROAD OFF JUGTOWN ROAD, AROUND 9AM THURSDAY.
THE WOMAN HAD EXTENSIVE BURNS TO THE UPPER PART OF HER BODY BUT A MALE INSIDE THE MOBILE HOME WITH HER MANAGED TO ESCAPE THE FLAMES.
SHERIFF KILGORE COMMENDED THE ACTIONS OF VOLUNTEER FIRE UNITS FROM NORTHSIDE, YATESVILLE, AND THURSTON , WHO PUT THE FIRE OUT.
SOME TYPE OF ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE--THE SHERIFF SAID.
