FOUR MEMBERS OF A MANCHESTER FAMILY WERE RESCUED SATURDAY EVENING BY THURSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT AFTER THEIR CANOE TRIP ON THE FLINT RIVER FROM SPREWELL BLUFF WAS CAUGHT BY DARKNESS BEFORE THEY COULD REACH THE HIGHWAY 36 BRIDGE.
UPSON S.O. SAID THE FAMILY WAS O.K. AFTER IT WAS CONTACTED BY KATHERN EDGEMAN WHO SAID THEY WERE STRANDED ON THE RIVER . THURSTON FIRST RESPONDERS FOUND THEM ON THE UPSON COUNTY SIDE OF THE RIVER , PAST TABLE ROCK.
JOHN, LANDON, DAKOTA, AND KATHERN EDGEMAN WERE IN THE PARTY.
