POLLS IN SPALDING COUNTY TO REMAIN OPEN TILL 9PM DUE TO VOTING MACHINE PROBLEMS

GRIFFIN JUDICIAL CIRCUIT SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE FLETCHER SAMS HAS ISSUED AN ORDER THAT PRECINCTS IN SPALDING COUNTY WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 9 PM TONIGHT DUE TO VOTING MACHINE PROBLEMS THIS MORNING.

STATE LEGISLATORS DAVID KNIGHT AND KAREN MAY-THEE-ACT PETITIONED THE COURT TO KEEP THE POLLS OPEN EXTRA HOURS AND JUDGE SAMS ISSUED THE ORDER SHORTLY AFTER 5:30 PM.

A GLITCH IN THE VOTING MACHINES CAUSED VOTERS TO USE PAPER BALLOTS UNTIL 9:30 PM THIS MORNING. THE GA. SECRETARY OF STATE DISPATCHED AN INVESTIGATOR TO SPALDING COUNTY TO INVESTIGATE THE MATTER.
